It’s almost been a year since I last posted, and I’M SORRY! To all my blogging friends near and far – I hope you are doing well and thank you for tuning in. I’ve neglected my blog when I shouldn’t have… I forgot that this is my own space and I should take advantage of having a fun platform to connect with people.
I’ve reflected on my blogging journey; I started this blog in 2015, I had a vision to start blogging and to create a youtube – but that all kind of fell through. It’s not like I stopped believing in that vision… I just hit so many obstacles along the way that I kind of lost track of my goals and ideas for this blog. Don’t get me wrong, I DID start blogging, AND I DID create a youtube – BUT I feel like neither of these platforms are at it’s highest potential. The reason being: inconsistency.
I haven’t been consistent with my posts/videos and it sucks 😦 but, unfortunately my job takes a majority of my day. By the time I get home I’m ready to eat dinner and go to bed!
Most of you know I work- or I should say worked at Sephora – yep, the past tense is correct. I am no longer an employee of Sephora. It’s heartbreaking really, because I love Sephora. I loved doing what I did there, BUT financially I wasn’t where I needed to be.
This time last year was rough for me.. I was hospitalized, but thankfully in the end, God came through and I was offered another job. For about a year I worked both jobs but unfortunately it took a toll on me, and I started to hate being at Sephora more and more. Working retail wasn’t something I was passionate about anymore. So fast forward to now, I love my new job, and I have more free time – so this where I want to spend it!
My goal in 2019 is to be as consistent as I can with this blog. I have so many things I want to share and talk about! If you’ve ever felt like me, at a standstill with something you love, then all I can say is keep pursuing happiness. Nothing else matters if you aren’t happy.
