Makeup Review: Sweet Peach Palette

Welcome back to my little blog!

I’m finally posting my thoughts about Toofaced Cosmetics ‘Sweet Peach’ Palette which actually launched last March and is now here to stay! *queue cheers*

If you haven’t picked one up yet or on the fence about purchasing one maybe my quick review can help you decide!

Many thanks to Sephora & Toofaced Cosmetics for their partnership!

PROS:

Amazing smell – As we should all know, or if you didn’t already know the actual shadows smell like PEACHES! This palette is infused with a peach essence which gives us that amazing smell.

Cute Packaging – I’ve always admired Toofaced Cosmetics packaging. It’s always so durable compared to other brands. Similar to the Chocolate bar palettes, I believe it’s shell is made of plastic with a magnet to keep it shut. It also comes with a mirror, which I think is a very important feature to have in an eyeshadow palette – many artists use the mirrors for their clients and for themselves!

Very Pigmented – I’m unsure if they formulated the shadows a bit differently compared to the Chocolate Palettes BUT the PIGMENT PAYOFF is amazeballs. Very soft, and quite easy to blend!

CONS:

I’ve been trying to think long and hard about some cons but it’s honestly VERY hard – the best one I can think of is: COLOR CHOICES/COLOR SCHEME. I personally love IT, BUT there are a couple of similar colors within the palette. (i.e ‘cobbler’ | ‘caramelized’) obviously IN the palette the colors seem to look different but once applied on the skin, you can barely tell a difference – this is considered a CON for me, because I want DIFFERENT colors and I WANT them to appear different on my lid. It really bothers me, when palettes have similar colors and once applied on the lid/skin it isn’t apparent which colors are which unless their labeled.

This palette is one of the few on the market that have a nice ‘olive’ shade (bless her heart) which is nice. Olive is one of my favorite colors so I love the fact it was included in this palette. ALTHOUGH I would’ve personally enjoyed a color scheme that included orange-golden-yellow shades. Mainly because peaches aren’t ACTUALLY pink I feel as if Toofaced tailored their ‘peach’ line to a PINK/CORAL color scheme.

NOW DO NOT get me wrong – I love the color scheme… I just wanted to point out the actual palette and its color scheme doesn’t scream PEACH to me, the smell does.

ALTHOUGH, THIS could be a Toofaced marketing tactic – having a not-s0 peach color scheme BUT instead marketing the smell of peaches. (who knows?)
